CALOUNDRA FAMILY HISTORY RESEARCH INC.  General meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Guide Hut, Arthur Street, Caloundra from 1.30 pm.  Guest speaker at the July 20th meeting will be Jeanette Nobes whose subject will be the life of Bessie Thynne, a hinterland identity.  Prior to this meeting the Family Tree Maker Group will meet at 11 am.
Next research trip will be to Qld. State Archives/State Library on Monday 24th July.  Bookings essential.
An invitation is extended to join the Group on Saturday 22nd July at a Grandma's Afternoon Tea.  Saadia Thompson Dwyer will speak on the art of deciphering old writing. This promises to be an enjoyable afternoon so please make your booking for a trip down memory lane.
The Group's annual garage sale will be held on 26th August.  Donations of unwanted items, large or small, would be very much appreciated.  Storage can be arranged if required.
CFHR's Research rooms are opened  on Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm (except 3rd Thursdays) and on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
