Building on the success of the previous Gympie First Forums, Member for Gympie David Gibson MP will present the next Gympie First Forum on Health to discuss how the State Government’s new Hospital and Health Service board will affect primary health care and the broader community in our region.
“Health is an issue that affects everyone and this forum will give people the opportunity to hear from the Chair of our local Hospital Board, Professor Paul Thomas AM and the CEO Kevin Hegarty.” Mr Gibson said.
“We also want to hear from the community as these forums are an opportunity for everyone to come together, air issues and hear each other’s points of view and hopefully come away with a few positive ideas.”
Mr Gibson said that this Gympie First Forum is an initiative designed to bring together a range of health professionals, community representatives, academics and government officials to discuss issues facing primary health care in our local community.
“I think we all recognise the pressures that are faced by health professionals in regional areas like Gympie and hopefully this forum will enable us to discuss ideas on how to move forward and the priorities for ongoing government initiatives."
The forum will take place from 12 noon at the Mary River Motor Inn on Friday 23rd November.
Tickets are just $35 each which cover a 2 course meal. Online registration is available at www.trybooking.com/CCMN or by contacting Mr Gibson office on 5482 3651.
