Gympie State Member, David Gibson MP, said it seems the success of the 2013 Gympie First Forums was not just in the thought provoking speakers and on occasion contentious exchange of ideas.
“These events in 2013 resulted in an award from the Premiers support unit for best community engagement event across Queensland.” Mr Gibson said.
“This is a wonderful recognition for the forums and for those passionate speakers and locals who have come along to share their ideas.”
“Whilst support from government can assist with the developing and supporting of enterprise and innovation in the region, in the end it is up to each person to choose to make a difference.”
“In Gympie we are lucky; we’re in a place where amazing opportunities abound. With this in mind, Gympie First Forums is pleased to present a very special evening bringing together discussion and a council presentation focused on the Gympie region in 2014.”
“I’m hoping that people will be able to make the time and join us on Thursday 6th February to share their insights into how to identify the opportunities, tackle the challenges and achieve what we want for our region’s future in 2014.
The dinner will be held at the downstairs function room at the Decks on Mary, Cnr Channon & Mary Streets, Gympie. The evening commences at 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.
