Registrations are now open for the Queensland ‘Hands Up For Play’ National Conference to be held from 17-19 June 2011 at The Events Centre, Caloundra.
Childcare Queensland’s two-day conference provides valuable opportunities for delegates to interact with sponsor and exhibitor representatives, and is an important early childhood education and care forum for educators to network and reflect on current thinking and practice.
Australian Olympian Brennon Dowrick will expertly guide the 500 expected delegates through the conference as master of ceremonies, with key note addresses from Mr Dowrick, Dr Jane Hewes, Chair of the Early Learning and Childcare Program at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton, Canada and motivator and entertainer Laurie Lawerence. The Hon. Kate Ellis MP, Minister for Childcare and will also be in attendance over the course of the weekend.
Delegates will enjoy a fun filled conference dinner on Saturday evening with the theme ‘When I grow up I want to be…’ with entertainment from local band Midnight Groove.
Registrations are now open for the conference with a provisional program available from www.childcareqld.org.au.
The Events Centre’s general manager said that its board and management are extremely pleased to be a part of this project. This has great potential to deliver delegates, an opportunity to learn, interact and share in the positive future development of our young people.
