Heart of Gold Film Festival - SNEAK PREVIEW at the Nambour Cinema
The Inaugural Heart of Gold International Film Festival is to be held at the Gympie Civic Centre (specially fitted out with audio and visuals for the event) on 26th to 29th October 2006. The Festival features over 100 beautiful, uplifting, funny and brilliantly-crafted short films and documentaries from across Australia and around the world. This totally unique festival showcases films that entertain us with thought-provoking, uplifting and hilariously funny takes on life. The festival organiser and International Award Winning Film Maker, Toni Powell says "It is our mission (at Heart of Gold) to find films that nourish and send the audience back to the world with a smile.... what more could you want than happy, smiling people walking the earth?"
As a special preview to the event, the organizers are having a one-off screening of a selection of short films to screen at the Nambour Cinema on Friday the 1st September at 7pm. Toni Powell will be giving a short rundown on the festival and its origins and answer any questions. Tickets to this session are all $7 each. Wine & cheese will be served from 6pm.
