Queensland Air Museum (QAM) will have a de Havilland Sea Vixen Jet Fighter Cockpit pod on display. This pod is only one of two Sea Vixens in the Southern Hemisphere. The Sea Vixen pilot’s compartment is complete with instrumentation, decommissioned ejector seats and controls.
Pick up a copy of the Discovery Guide – a must-have heritage guide of the Sunshine Coast. Keep it handy for when you are out and about exploring the treasures of the Sunshine Coast.
The Heritage Showcase will be followed by the Discovery Weekend 6 and 7 May. This weekend will shine the spotlight on some of our region’s fascinating museums and heritage places.
The Heritage Discovery Events are funded by Sunshine Coast Council Cultural Heritage Levy. The levy was introduced in 2009 to ensure the region’s stories, traditions and places continue to be protected and experienced by future generations.
