School Holiday Savers
It's that time of year again - school holidays - when kids start to get restless and parents are desperate to find worthwhile activities to burn off that excess energy. How about an exhilarating mountain bike ride?
As part of the Holiday Blast Program, Council's TravelSmart Noosa Team are holding an Introduction to Mountain Bike Riding on Tuesday 22 January at Tewantin State Forest, Wooroi Day Use Area, from 10am till 12 noon. Participants will enjoy a guided ride through the rainforest on firetrail and single tracks. The activity is suited to all skill levels aged 12 -17 years at a cost of $8. Bike hire available is available for $5, or BYO! Bookings are essential - 5455 4455.
The Summer Holiday Blast program includes many more activities. Copies of the program are available at Council's Pelican Street offices, or online at The J.
Or, how about getting on your bikes and exploring some of Noosa's fabulous pathways? Council has recently completed the pathway link from Noosa Civic to Monks Bridge, which then follows through Creek Park (behind the AFL Grounds) to the new pathway on Noosa Drive and into Noosa Junction. Pick up a map from Noosa Council's Pelican St offices.
