Most of us are caught up in negative patterns of thinking, like anger, regret, addiction and self-hatred. They cause us to act in ways that lead to pain or unhappiness for ourselves and others.
With the right tools, however, it is possible for us to free our minds from such habitual patterns and to explore new ways of living - with joy, patience, contentment and delight. This two-part workshop is a contemporary presentation of an ancient spiritual wisdom - the 16 guidelines. These are straightforward and practical tools for developing happiness and meaning in our lives.
By revealing the deeper value of honesty, generosity and kindness, the guidelines help us to make wiser decisions, to transform our ways of thinking and acting, and to develop the resilience necessary for modern life. The course is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, faith or background. It will involve teachings, reflection and relaxed group discussions.
