Sunshine Coast residents urged to have say on proposed planning changes
Sunshine Coast residents are being encouraged to find out more about how proposed changes to planning laws may affect them.
Planning Minister Desley Boyle today encouraged people to attend a free community consultation forum on Thursday, September 14 on potential improvements to the Integrated Planning Act (IPA) 1997.
"There are a number of proposed amendments to the Act, including changes to give communities better information on local planning and development and more opportunities to get involved in the planning process," Ms Boyle said.
"We need people to have their say to make sure we get it right and this forum will give people a chance to ask questions and give us their views."
The forum is from 6pm-8pm on Thursday, September 14 at Caloundra Cultural Centre, 20 Minchinton St, Caloundra. RSVP on 3235 9439 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
