We are delighted to present The Hon. Judy Spence as our special guest speaker for an exciting and informative breakfast function celebrating International Women's Day.
All women and their partners are invited to our breakfast morning to celebrate 'International Women's Day' to be held at the Coolum Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Arrival at 8.30 AM for 9.00 AM start.

About Judy Spence
Judy is the longest serving woman in the history of the Queensland Parliament, now in her 18th year.
Judy has had a long association with the Mount Gravatt area. She has lived and worked in the region all her life. Judy is married to Heinz and has two sons, Lucas and Jack.
During her school years, Judy attended Marshall Road State School and Yeronga State High School. She later became a high school teacher and has had classroom experience in schools in the Logan City and Beenleigh areas.
Judy was first elected as the Labor Member for Mount Gravatt on 2 December 1989.
Judy is currently the Minister for Police and Corrective Services. She was Minister for Families, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy and Disability Services from February 2001 to February 2004; and was Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Policy, Women's Policy and Fair Trading from July 1998 to February 2001.
Outside politics, Judy's voluntary responsibilities have included Presidency of Blind and Low Vision Youth Support Inc and membership of organisations ranging from Foodbank to the Toohey Forest Protection Society. She is a member of the Mount Gravatt Community Centre, Mount Gravatt Historical Society, MacGregor State High School P&C Association, Southern Districts Marching Association, Hornets River City Basketball Club, Sunnybank Lions, and Surf Lifesaving Queensland. Judy is also a member of Amnesty International and the Parliamentary Amnesty Group.
Her interests include swimming, reading and cycling.
