INTRODUCTION TO BEEKEEPING The Sunshine Coast Beekeepers Inc., the not-for-profit association for amateur beekeepers on the Sunshine Coast, is now conducting 'Introduction to Beekeeping' courses for anyone interested in keeping European honey bees.

Both the traditional hive and the new Flow Hive will be demonstrated. The details of the next course are as follows:- When: Sunday 8th April from 9am to 2pm. Where: At the home of Alby Taylor (our President) 33 Haupts Road (off Kiel Mountain Rd) Woombye Q 4559 Cost: $80 ($50 for club members) Cash, cheque or Direct Deposit. Catering: Morning tea and lunch (sandwiches) provided. If you have particular food requirements, you are asked to provide your own.

What to bring: Chair, sun protection (hat, sunscreen etc.), water bottle, pen and notebook. What to wear: Protective clothing is essential – long-sleeved shirt, long pants, covered shoes and socks. If you have a bee-suit or veil, please bring it.

The club will have various items of protective gear (full suit, ½ suits, and veils) for use. Class size: Class size is maximum of 10 persons, with a minimum of 5. Booking details: Chris Johnson mob: 0411 415 527 Email:
