Tewantin Noosa RSL Goes Celtic
For a band with a name like Ishka, meaning ‘Water’ in Gaelic, you might be easily fooled into expecting something slow or calming. You would be mistaken though as Ishka are some of the highest energy performers you will ever encounter.
Ishka brings the very best elements of Celtic music when they perform; spreading that infectious joy that accompanies their buoyant tones everywhere they go.
This band has astounding experience across a whole slew of instruments, including: Vocals, Fiddle, Whistle, Concertina, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Irish Bazouki, Bodhran (Irish Drum), Bass and Lagerphone. There’s truly nothing forgotten when Ishka arrive to perform. They even pack in a few extra genres, also specialising in Scottish and Australiana as well, just in case there wasn’t already enough variety.
Celtic music is a fantastic accompaniment to any night out because of its chipper light-heartedness and its familiar beat. If you’d like to join Ishka for a joyful night of Celtic music then head over to the Tewantin Noosa RSL on Thursday 4 August at 6pm.
