Irish television personality to entertain Caloundra

Irish-born John McNally has led an accomplished career. It was his three-year stint as the host of The Tonight Show that saw John become a household name.

These days his resume includes recording 40 successful albums, including two platinum and four gold, starring in top rated television shows and appearing on stage throughout Australia, America, Canada and Ireland.

It is John's latest album, Melodies of Love, which brings him to Caloundra as part of the 2010 Morning Melodies series.

"I came to Australia in 1971 for a five-week tour and in that time was a guest on The Tonight Show. Just after my appearance the host, Simon Dee, resigned and the producers asked me if I could come in and host one show. I ended up staying for four years, and it was the number one show in the ratings," said John.

The show will feature songs from John's new album Melodies of Love and includes songs of romance and inspiration and some country and Irish classics. Songs will include You'll Never Know Just How Much I Love You, La Vie En Rose, You Raise Me Up, Galway Bay, How Great Thou Art, Danny Boy, For The Good Times, Ringsend Rose and Send Me The Pillow That You Dream On.

Tickets include a complimentary morning tea, served from 10am.
John will perform at The Events Centre on Wednesday April 21 at 11am.
