The Shadow Minister for Police and Emergency Services, John-Paul Langbroek has accepted an invitation from Glen Elmes MP, Member for Noosa, to visit the electorate on Monday 17th October.
"I have had a number of formal and informal meetings over recent months with both professional and volunteer Emergency Services personnel who are frustrated at the attitude of the Bligh Labor Government towards them and the role that they are fulfilling in the community.
"I have arranged a whole series of meetings throughout the day, with police, ambos, fire officers and volunteer groups so that our local representatives can put their position directly to John-Paul.
"In addition, I have a booking for a function, to be held at the old Noosa Heads Bowls Club, now known as Noosa Sports @ The J, and invite all the professionals and volunteers, particularly the Auxiliaries and Rural firefighters, the SES and Coast Guard, to meet John-Paul and hear him speak.
"This function will be held between 5:00 and 6:30pm and I ask that those interested call my office on 5449 8988 to register your interest in attending. Admission is free."
