Star of page and screen comes to Caloundra City
Popular author and actor Judy Nunn is coming to the Sunshine Coast later this month thanks to Caloundra City Libraries and the Federal Government's Books Alive program.
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said the Literary Lunch with Judy Nunn is part of a promotion that aims to encourage all Australians to experience the joys of reading.
"I'm delighted that Caloundra City Libraries' participation in the Books Alive promotion is bringing interesting events such as this to our City,'' Cr Aldous said.
Judy Nunn is famous both as an actress (starring as Ailsa in Home and Away for 13 years) and as a popular author with a number of well-received novels to her credit. Her latest book, titled Heritage, is described as "a passionate and fast-paced tale of rebirth, struggle, sacrifice and redemption, and a tribute to those who gave meaning to the Australian spirit".
The Literary Lunch is on Tuesday, August 29, at 12 noon at the Blue Olive, 66 Jessica Boulevard, Minyama. The cost of $20 includes main course, dessert and tea or coffee. Bookings are essential and can be made through Kawana Library, telephone 5444 8022, and payment should be made prior to the event at either Kawana Library or at one of Caloundra City Libraries other branches.
