You’re floating down a tranquil creek with a cold brew in hand, your mind sailing on a stream of luscious soundscapes and body wrapped in a cacophony of feel good... we may be biased, but that sounds like the perfect wholesome weekend escape. Well picture no more, because that will be all yours at Jungle Love Music and Arts Festival 2017, and boy are there some exciting new tastes in store to feed your minds, tantalise your bodies and alight your soul for the 4th year!
For those newcomers, we are a boutique festival on the Sunshine Coast that showcases the very best emerging and established talent from Brisbane and South East Queensland. We also invite guests from interstate and across the globe. We put quality above popularity and seek out the most thrilling live acts to showcase to a crowd of music lovers who come to together to share in a weekend of joy and love.
In keeping with the Jungle Lover passion, we wanted to love you for even longer this year. So Jungle Love 2017 is stretching the programme into 3 days/3 nights from November 30, 1st and 2nd of December, because demand has told us “two is never enough”. The Main Stage will be opening from 5pm Thursday with a groovy one-in-all-in party before the festival becomes a ‘choose-your-own-adventure’ and all stages revel in glory for the Friday and Saturday, 3 nights? Hell yeah! Still BYO, 18+ and still located at the tranquil Borumba Deer Park, Sunshine Coast.
That’s right we’re BYO, not just because we want it to be more affordable for everyone, but because we love the freedom that that brings. Let's just be clear now though, NO GLASS is allowed on site. We're pretty strict on this and it sucks to have to confiscate people's booze if they don't adhere to this. So remember, NO glass... at all, at all, at all.
Maximum comfort, amongst the trees and with the stunning Yabba Creek streaming right next to the main stages, you can literally be swimming and watching the music happen.
Our main stages and our electronic stage, Jungle Boogie, will all be back this year but with all new designs. Our secret shipping container night club, the Kunst Club is being renovated and improved, more details to come about this. We're saving most of the surprises til the event but one extra little addition we're going to let slip is our new jam stage. We'll supply backline, instruments and production. The way it'll work is we'll be curating a series of house bands from different disciplines who will hold down that groove and members of the audience can be ready to swap in and out where they feel they can fit in. Sometimes it'll be magic, sometimes it'll be a bit shite, but that's alright, that's just how the jam rolls.
Beyond the music, Jungle Love is an aural delight, with an array of visual and performance art to take in.
This year we'll be hosting a new range of workshops and panel discussions for you to hopefully learn something new that you hadn't before.
We’ve also got two new bars this year for your convenience and lounging pleasure. You’ll be able to relax next to the stream or bushland, drink in hand, all while taking in the delights of the Jungle Boogie and main stages. Excitingly, Jungle Love has also teamed up with Five Mile Radius and QUT Creative Industries to bring a new site design program that will see the Jungle Boogie Stage and the festival bars designed and decked out with materials sourced within a five mile radius of the festival site. It is possible and it is going to look amazing!
The bikes will be back, culinary options in abundance, the best people, and creative, arty and mind opening delights. The Jungle Love community welcomes you, jump in!
