Morayfield district candidate for Katter’s Australian party, Stephen Beck, has announced that he will be hosting a meeting for Narangba residents and Morayfield constituents to explain his position on the proposed Heavy Haulage route and quarry expansion application.
“It is a worry that we are being handed a re‐hashed project dressed up as a new initiative by a doomed state government.”Mr Beck stated.
“The residents deserve a lot more information on these and past proposals and should be made aware of the full history behind the current situation”
Mr Beck reiterated that announcements of “new” funding for studies and plans are a waste of taxpayer funds designed to grab a few cheap votes at the expense of neighbours and friends.
“This proposal (of the ALP) is a transparent ruse and relies on Morayfield district voters not being in possession of the origin, history or facts of the situation. I want to present answers to the questions locals are asking such as route details, planning history, and negative impacts on the district as a whole. We cannot act in isolation nor ignore the repercussions in the future”
