Being human is a fragile experience; we are but dust and to dust we will return. We have a brain, emotions and a body, many believe that is all. These paintings challenge and explore the realm of spirituality from a contemporary Christian viewpoint. Our experiences are often universal but our responses always remain personal. This otherness called faith is investigated and reference is made to the history, narratives and motifs of this ancient belief system. CHRISTOS is presented as a provoking body of works which will hopefully engender reflection.
