Two award-winning artists.
Two great cabaret performances.
Helpmann and Green Room Award winner Mitchell Butel returns to the cabaret stage after star turns in Avenue Q (awarded prestigious Helpmann award), Dusty, The Venetian Twins, Gettin’ Square and Hair in an hilarious and poignant tale of 24 hours in the life of himself and of all ourselves.
Backed by a white-hot jazz trio led by Daryl Wallis, Butel weaves his way through a night of song and verse including works by Ellington, Jordan, Monk, Bernstein, Mercer, Elling, Sondheim and Shorter.
“Mitchell Butel’s return to the cabaret stage is expertly crafted, miraculous and pricelessly funny”
Fresh from her successes in New York and the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, flame-haired chanteuse Marika Aubrey will regale Noosa Longweekend audiences with this tribute to famous redheaded Broadway stars like Rita Hayworth, Ethel Merman, Lucille Ball and more.
This “sensual Ginger Ninja” has been widely acclaimed for her high-octane delivery.
Aubrey has held audiences enthralled with her combination of story-telling, expertly choreographed movement and phenomenal voice. Book early for Redheads, a show that has been described as “flawless” and virtually “cabaret perfection”.
“A powerhouse of vocal artistry…notes that float like liquid through a wide-ranging register”
