Be informed - Lake Cootharaba Nitrogen Investigation Project
Noosa Council in partnership with Noosa and District Landcare, University of the Sunshine Coast and SEQ Catchments are hosting a community consultation session to inform community members of the forthcoming Lake Cootharaba Nitrogen Investigation Project.
Noosa River is soon to go under the microscope for testing to ensure this super healthy river system retains its recently acquired Healthy Waterways 'A' rating, after past reports indicated elevated levels of inorganic nitrogen.
The community are invited to listen to the Environmental Protection Agency on the reasons and background for the project along with input from the project partners Noosa Council, Noosa District Landcare, SEQ Catchments, University of the Sunshine Coast and SEQ Healthy Waterways.
A question and answer session will follow and refreshments will be provided.
