This can be the source of immense pain, and lead to many of the problems we experience in our relationships, careers, and even our attempts at personal or spiritual growth. Learning to be open to ourselves, with a quality of warmth and self-acceptance offers a way to break out of this emotional prison.
In this weekend workshop, popular teacher and psychotherapist, Renate Ogilvie, teaches practical ways of freeing ourselves from the grip of our self-aversion. With insights from both Buddhism and Western psychology, Renate introduces us to the skills needed to become more compassionate toward ourselves, to rejoice in our good qualities, and be more tolerant of our faults. The workshop involves teachings, meditation and discussions that will help us discover the freedom that comes with kindness and true appreciation of ourselves and others.
All welcome! Renate Ogilvie has taught at Buddhist centres around the world for over 20 years. She combines modern psychotherapy with Buddhist philosophy to help individuals deal with depression, fear and anger.
