Open day at Maleny Hinterland Visitor Information Centre
Ever wondered what's inside the Maleny Hinterland Visitor Information Centre? Now is the time to take a peek and enjoy a cup of tea….or a wine-tasting!
Caloundra City Mayor Don Aldous said that the centre will open its doors for residents on Tuesday 4 December, from 9am to 6pm.
There will be great prizes, and for those who enjoy a cuppa, the Centre's volunteers will put the kettle on from 4 to 6pm for afternoon tea. Maleny Mountain Wines will be at the Open Day too, showing off their fresh new look and offering wine-tastings.
The Centre, located on the Landsborough Maleny Road, across from the Big Barrel at Maleny, is staffed by about 25 volunteers who help more than 1200 visitors every month.
Volunteers provide visitors with information about services, facilities, venues and attractions in the hinterland and across the region.
Reservations for the Open Day are encouraged for catering purposes by 27th November by phoning the Centre on 5499 9788.
The Maleny Hinterland Visitor Information Centre is open seven days a week, from 9am to 5pm.
Caloundra City operates a network of five visitor information centres at Caloundra, Kawana, Maleny Hinterland and Glass House Mountains.
