Music and Verse the Mapleton Way - 2010
On 29th August 2010 Mapleton is delivering one of its best family markets yet. Designed to put a smile on everyone's face, this market is sure to put a song in your heart. With a wonderful line up of musicians and poets this is your opportunity to enjoy the magnificent surrounds of the Mapleton Lilley ponds, cool your heals at the end of the Festival of Walks and enjoy the best entertainment the range has to offer.
"This time around we are delivering a monster market, presenting dynamic emerging acts as well as some of the country's most significant poets. This is our strongest line up of entertainment ever and we are very proud to work with such a wonderful crew," said David Penrose, Market Manager and all round community champion.
"In keeping with tradition these markets give everyone in the community an opportunity to come together and celebrate each new season with a vibrant community market, showcasing the diverse talents, goods and services created in this wonderful mountain village."
The Mapleton Market is the final event on the Festivals of Walks calendar. A nine day festival of guided walks, community and cultural events that celebrates the natural beauty of the Hinterland, healthy activity and showcases local attractions.
"We love that the Mapleton Markets and the Festivals of Walks have been able to come together again this year to deliver such a assortment of activities and a truly fantastic program."
