07 March 2006 Marcoola Community Discussions for David Low Way
Residents and other interested people of South Marcoola are invited to discuss the way forward with the master planning process for the area and define the final concepts for David Low Way in South Marcoola.
The community information session will include a presentation as well as the chance for discussion on feedback from the first meeting held late 2005.
Division Four Councillor Tony Northey said giving the people of the area the chance to have their say with how the planning process develops is vital in obtaining the best possible outcome for South Marcoola.
"It is essential that the people of the Maroochy North Shore be given the chance to participate in the planning process of the region.
"The North Shore is one of the major gateways to the Sunshine Coast with the airport situated in Marcoola so it's important Council work with the people of the community to find the best solutions to the issues we're dealing with in that area," Cr Northey said.
The session will also provide the opportunity for further community input taking State and Local Government guidelines into consideration.
The event will be held on Monday 13 March in the Spinnaker's Conference Room at Surfair, David Low Way, Marcoola from 1pm until 3pm.
Light refreshments will be provided and for further information you can contact Maroochy Shire Council's Customer Service Centre on 5475 8501.
