School Holidays 22nd Sept to 6th Oct. The holidays are packed with free workshops for children. Bookings are essential, spaces limited.

Monday 25th Sept @ 11am-12am. Science of spin. A workshop for children aged 9 yrs & over, using yoyos, gyroscopes, bicycle wheels and footballs to introduce the concept of spin.

- Wednesday 27th Sept @ 10am -11.30am. Marimba Magic, discover the magic of marimba's with local band Groove Adventure. Workshop for children aged 9 yrs & over.

- Monday 2nd Oct @10.30am Hula & Bollywood workshop. Achara will teach you belly, hula & bollywood culture dancing. Open to all ages 

- Thursday 5th Oct @ 10am. Cartoon workshop with Wayne Fleming. This popular workshop, back by demand, will teach children how to create their own cartoon style. Workshop for children aged 9 yrs & over.

- The Daily Roald Dahl hour @ 10 am. An hour of revolting readings, rhymes, recipes and quizzes. Held each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during the holidays.  For all ages.

Thursdays @ 10.30am: Wriggle giggle read
For 1 to 3 year olds. Fun interactive stories, finger plays and songs.
Sessions approx 20 minutes.
National Simultaneous Storytime Friday 1st Sept @ 11am & 5:30pm.  This year's book is 'Good Night Me' by Andrew Daddo. Join us at the library for many sleepy tales.
Adult Learner's Week 1st - 8th Sept. How often do you not understand the unfamiliar terminology and complex structure of legal language? During Adult Learners Week, Noosa Library will promote the importance of understanding legal processes for one self and /or immediate family members. The Legal Literacy Expo will feature both government and community stakeholders who will present a series of free presentations on the following days:
- Friday 1st Sept@ 11am  - Mathew James, Principal Registry Officer. Guardianship & Administration Tribunal will provide an overview of the role and function of the Tribunal. Mathew will be supplying information kits at the presentation. 

- Monday 4th Sept @11am - Mark Ostwald, Solicitor. Cartwrights, Tebbett & Ostwald Solicitors are accredited specialists on Succession Law and Family Law.  Mark will provide information on Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney.
- Tuesday 5th Sept @11am - Jo Pennell,  Director of Nursing. Ozcare, Noosa Heads. Jo will discuss the issues regarding residential care concerning the procedures relating to admission, fees and bonds. 
- Wednesday 6th Sept @11am - Craig Griffin, Solicitor. Cartwrights, Tebbett & Ostwald Solicitors. Craig will discuss the Federal Magistrates Service (FMS) and the Family Law Court.
- Thursday 7th Sept @11am - Angela Pinkstone, Director of Care. Noosa Nursing Centre, Tewantin. Angela will discuss ACAT Assessment regarding residential care for low and high need clients.
Admission is free and includes morning tea. Bookings essential. Call the library on 5442 4411 for information on events.

A Legacy for Building Peace 1st to 10th Sept - A visual exhibition featuring peace activist icon's Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King and Daisaku Ikeda will be held in the library foyer. The official launch will be held Saturday 2nd Sept at 6pm. Bookings are essential, call the library on 5442 4411 for information on events
Volunteer Literacy Tutor training. Short course commences Tuesday 12th Sept.
Through Noosa Library's Community Literacy Program; Essentials, Volunteer Literacy Tutors offer one on one personal tutoring to any member of the community requiring support in gaining or improving reading, writing, spelling and numeric skills. Application packs are available from Noosa Library and the Mobile Library. Closing date for applications is 30th August. For more information phone the Library on 5442 4411
Kids Day with Safety House Saturday Sept 9th - Tewantin / Noosaville branch of Safety House Committee will celebrate 'child safety awareness week' in the library.  From 10am to 1pm, there will be stories in the children's area with the 'Lollypop Lady', fun activities such as painting a communal mural, kite making, face painting, karate workshop and a sausage sizzle at 12 noon.
Roald Dahl's Birthday (Sept 13th) To celebrate this special day we want you to take the Roald Dahl challenge during September with quizzes, silly activities, revolting rhymes, recipes and the official Roald Dahl website.
