GREAT MEDIEVAL KING TO VISIT THE ABBEY MUSEUM IN JANUARY SCHOOL HOLIDAYS
King Edward III, medieval England's greatest king will be appearing at the Abbey Museum along with his entourage and special guests as part of the Family Fun Week in January. Sir Justyn, a loyal knight of Edward III said, "This is the first time that King Edward III has held court in Caboolture and it will be an exciting time to see him as he has just received news of victories abroad. I would encourage all subjects and visitors to come and see this great monarch, it really is a once in a lifetime opportunity."
The Abbey Museum will entertain children under five years with storytelling and playtime, from 10.30 to 11.30 each morning. Our six to twelve year old visitors can take part in fun and authentic medieval activities such as archery, braid making, crowns and cloaks, each afternoon between 1.30 and 2.30pm.
This initiative has been made possible through RADF grant funding. The Regional Arts Development Fund is a Queensland Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council partnership to support local arts and culture.
