Why should Melbourne keep all the laughs to itself?
With 25,000 miles of smiles the annual Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow is Australia's biggest giggle. In May the best of the fest is being crammed into the Tarago and heading for the Sunshine Coast.
This year's line-up includes award winning comedian and host of Saturday night's The Graveyard Shift on Triple J, Dave Callan, as MC. He is joined by Kitty Flanagan, who found fame on Full Frontal and is now a frequent guest on Good News Week, and new-comer to the comedy scene Celia Pacquola, who already has a handful of awards under her belt and currently writes for Good New Week.
Joining the trio will be one of the UK's bright new stars Russell Kane, who likens himself to "a kid with ADHD''. Kane relishes in poking fun at the imperfections of British people, why they revel in all things negative and odd, and how they deal with it.
And finally, packed into the back seat of the travelling road show van is Asher Treleaven, recipient of the 2009 Moosehead Award, geek aficionado and periodical carny.
