You’re invited to morning tea on Friday 10th April 2015, 10-11am, for World Parkinson’s Day, at the Hidden Bean Café, corner Ocean St and Beach Rd, Maroochydore (in the courtyard).
Please help us raise awareness for Parkinson’s, a disease that needs more attention. 100,000 Australians are living with Parkinson’s Disease... and 30 more are diagnosed every single day. This is not an old person’s disease; 10% are aged in their 20s and 30s!
Established in 2011, Shake It Up Australia Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, raising money for Parkinson’s research in Australia. Partnered with the Michael J. Fox Foundation, Shake It Up’s research is cutting edge, Australian based and aimed at one thing – finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
“New Staff Solutions celebrates eleven years in business this April. Our first employee, my Dad, has Parkinson’s, and it’s a world many of us know precious little about. 30 Australians are diagnosed every single day, and there is no cure nor known cause for the disease. We have got to do better at funding research,” Director Peta Simpson said.
Tickets are just $20 for morning tea, and 100% of proceeds will go to research targeted at finding better treatments and ultimately a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
To book your spot, or make a donation, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone Peta Simpson on 0423 169 583, before 8th April.
