Lifeline Sunshine Coast wants the community to join us in celebrating our mums. This Mother's Day, Sunday May 10th will be the first inaugural Mother's Day Out event held in Cotton Tree Park from 11 a.m. til 4 p.m. The day will be packed with rides, entertainment, exotic and exciting food, dancing and craft workshops, competitions, family photos and a mini marketplace to satisfy mum's shopping needs. The day's activities are mostly free of charge with only an optional gold coin donation to part with.
The best of the coast's local entertainers and musicians will enthrall the crowds in either the busker's circle, on the main stage or roving throughout the festivities. Market stall holders and food vendors have been sourced from local areas to ensure the local business community benefits from increased local support and product sales.
Local businesses have kind enough to donate prizes and vouchers to be won by hard working and deserving mums. Massage, spring cleaning and cinema vouchers are just some of the exciting prizes we will be handing out over the day.
Mother's Day Out intends to be not unlike our annual Father's Day event, 'Doing Dad's Proud' held in the same location in September. With families in mind, Lifeline felt it important to involve the community in family events and activities in a hope to reinstate the family spirit which is sometimes lost in the fast paced society we live in. By making the day a free entry event with only gold coin donations ensures the community patrons are able to come down and get involved despite their financial status.
Our 'Mother's Day Out' event aims to bring awareness of the programs and counselling services Lifeline Community Care provide to the community for free. We have given other local, not-for-profit and community organisations spaces through out the event to promote what they do for the community, to engage their own volunteers and awareness of their causes.
Bring the family down to Cotton Tree Park on Sunday May 10 at 11:00 a.m. for 'Mother's Day Out' and support the community and Lifeline. For more information please phone Carly or Sol on 5443 5366 or 0427 129 208 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
