Description: This workshop introduces participants to the limitless potential of making digital movies. Filmmakers and workers from The S.C.R.U.F.F.F.Y will take you through practical Movie Making and post production techniques, including, but not limited to, shooting and lighting, scouting locations and 'capturing' your videos.
Post production; using Windows Moviemaker, will introduce participants to adding effects; including music and sound, titles, credits and basic scene editing.
Outcomes: Participants will receive a comprehensive handout of introductory Movie Making techniques to take home and continue their filmmaking aspirations.
Furthermore, participants will be introduced to the S.C.R.U.F.F.F.Y and its management crew, as well as being presented with a possible opportunity to develop and showcase their movie in S.C.U.F.F.F.Y 2008.
A copy of the film produced will be provided to participants shortly after the workshop.
Charges for Participating: - Movie Making $5 per person / Movie Editing $5 per person. paymnet in the day
NB: Refunds - As a general rule, refunds are not given unless the activity is cancelled. Special circumstances may be considered. Contact Maugan to discuss each situation.
Recommended Age: 11 - 16 Years
NB: Minimum Age Exception - We will accept bookings for participants younger (No Younger than 9) than this age barrier only if accompanied by an older sibling, friend or parent/ guardian etc, or if they have prior experience in the activity. This decision remains in the discretion of the Activity Facilitator.

Painting in the Park

Description: Abstract Painting
During this workshop participants will be introduced to a variety of techniques to create texture in their painting. This workshop encourages participants to experiment with numerous alternative painting techniques and to explore the combined use of colours, textures and lines. Participants will be introduced to numerous methods of creating a diverse variety of textures and 'movement' in their painting. Participants are encouraged to experiment with all techniques and explore their own curiosities.
It is expected that participants will incorporate a combination of several of the techniques learnt during the workshop in their artwork, creating a dynamic art piece.
The participants will then apply the new texture techniques they have learnt to a canvas; Firework format.
Outcomes: Each participant will leave the workshop with one completed painting and their trial card to take home.
Charges for Participating: $5.00 paymnet on the day bookings essential

SURF COACHING WITH NORTH CALOUNDRA SURF SCHOOL
Duration: 1.5 hours

Weekdays various times through out the day, call Russell to confirm times.
Location: Dicky Beach Surf Club.- Meet out the back at Dicky Beach Surf Club.
Description: Learn surfing skills & refresh old ones in a fun-filled atmosphere by pro Surfing QLD coach. Surfboards are provided, but you can bring your own if you like.
Recommended age: 7 and over.
Number of participants: 15.
Charges for Participating: Sessions cost $30.00 per person.
Bring: water, hat, sunscreen, swimmers, surfboard (optional) and consent form.
