Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) is presenting a series of family activities from 11 to 13 April in local national parks.

Ranger Cheryl Thomson said QPWS encouraged people from the Sunshine Coast to join in and learn more about the natural areas on their doorstep.

"Experience the magic of the environment by joining rangers on guided activities these school holidays," Miss Thomson said.

"We will have something for everyone at Noosa and Glass House Mountains national parks.

"We will celebrate the Easter holidays by focusing our events on the cultural history of our local area, resident endangered animals, and of course, the bilby!

"Participants can chose from a rainforest walk, night walks or a mountain trek for the fit and adventurous."

Miss Thomson said the cost varied depending on the type of activity, from $5.30 to $12.85.

Bookings are essential. To book, call 1300 723 684. For more information go to www.epa.qld.gov.au/parks_and_forests.
