Each year, the Sunshine Coast Concert Band stages a “Musical Memories” concert to raise funds to assist the great work of the Cittamani Hospice.
This year, the concert will be at the Caloundra Uniting Church, cnr Queen and Ulm Sts, on Sunday 8th September, starting at 2pm.
As the name implies, Music Director Ken Chadwick has chosen memorable, favourite tunes which the audience will certainly know and appreciate, and to which they may even sing along.
Items include clarinettist Charlie Simm playing the haunting "Begin the Beguine", and singers Bev Gourlay, Aart Schouten and Tanya McFadyen singing songs such as "Summertime" , "Goodbye". "That Lovely Weekend" , and even an ABBA medley.
Spectacular Band marches will be "Aces High" and the "Trumpet March"
The cost for this memorable afternoon of excellent music is only $15, payable at the door, which includes afternoon tea.
Please support this concert for a most worthy charity - Cittamani Hospice.
