Myla Road Bushcare group working bee
Landsborough residents are invited to take part in the Myla Road Bushcare group's first working bee on Saturday June 4.
The working bee will target environmental weeds such as Madeira vine and Singapore daisy, which are starting to take hold of the 2.8 hectare rainforest reserve.
Caloundra City Mayor, Don Aldous, said the natural landscape is not only home to many native plants and animals, but provides residents and visitors with valuable green space.
Work will get underway at 9am with volunteers to meet at the creek on Myla Road, 150 metres north of the Vidler Road intersection, Landsborough.
Sharon Bonney Bushland Reserve working bee
Lantana removal will be the focus of the next working bee at the Sharyn Bonney Bushland Reserve on Saturday June 4.
Regular working bees are held the first Saturday of each month and new volunteers are always welcome.
Caloundra City Mayor, Don Aldous, said it is important that we all work together to help preserve these valuable resources for future generations and for our wildlife.
The working bee will kick off at 8am. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Sharyn Bonney Bushland Reserve sign, Sugarbag Road, opposite Rosewood Court.
