Fundraiser for the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery and Tibetan Children's Village for Tibetan refugee children in Dharamsala, India.

Be touched by the kindness of Tibetan Buddhist Monks, experience true compassion and the famous deep overtone chants & ancient instruments.

Dinner tickets include a traditional Tibetan vegetarian dinner, prepared and served by Tibetan Buddhist Monks. To be with Tibetan Buddhist Monks, to observe and be touched by their kindness is seeing true compassion.

The concert is a wonderful display of archaic Tibetan culture and Buddhist rituals: The Tashi Lhunpo monks will perform their unique version of simultaneous intoning of three notes in harmony, famous deep overtone chants, play traditional Tibetan instruments such as the 10-foot long dung-chen horn, drums, bells, cymbals and gyaling trumpets. Furthermore, the program also includes a performance of religious dance known as Cham. Traditionally performed in the monasteries these dances are spectacles of mesmerizing colour, motion and sound that serve as public performances as well as divine offerings.

Tenzin Choegyal will support the Monks with his beautiful music from all layers of traditional Tibetan society. While his primary instrument is his voice, Tenzin is a master of Tibetan musical instruments such as the Dranyen (six-stringed long-necked lute), the Lingbu (transverse bamboo flute) and other ritual objects.
