If there are Christmas decorations in the shops, it can only mean one
thing… it’s time for Nambour Alive—the Coast’s unrivalled annual free
music and entertainment festival.
On Friday November 25, Nambour will host the family friendly festival from 5pm - 10pm in Lowe and Queen Streets.
Moonlight Market Coordinator Helen Langlois said that Nambour Alive is in its third year and each festival the line up just gets better and better.
“Festival goers are in for a treat with a sensational line up of live music from headline act Pocket Love. They’ll be supported by Bon Fromage and Alys Longmate as well as a medly of other acts,” Ms Langlois said.
“And forget the young X-factor stars, Griffin Tintor at age 13 is just amazing. He represents a new generation of guitar players with incredible talent. Already he has travelled extensively through Australia, playing at events like the Tamworth Music Festival. He specialises in Classical, Flamenco, Latin American, Spanish and Baroque styles and is truly one to watch.
“For the younger ones, Santa will make an appearance on a fire truck bearing gifts for the kids; there will be a jumping castle and rock climbing walls, circus workshops and demonstrations.
“Those with a penchant for craft will enjoy candle and Christmas card making workshops.
“On top of that, we’ve got the popular moonlight market, with perfect Christmas gifts and tasty treats, delectable international cuisine and street entertainment—there’s just so much going on.
“Nambour retailers will be launching a ‘support your local business’ promotion where lucky punters will go in the draw to win $250 of Nambour shopping vouchers, $1000 prize hampers or the star prize, a brand new car.
“This festival started out as a way to re-launch Nambour as the vibrant, forward thinking, music loving town that it is and boy has it launched.
“The festival just continues to grow in popularity and has been embraced by the community far and wide.”
Rhonda Billett one of the promotion organisers and Chair of the Nambour Retailers Group is a big supporter of the festival.
“It’s going to be a wonderful evening for the community to have a bite to eat, listen to some great music, win some great prizes and for the kids to come down, see Santa and bring in the Christmas community cheer,” Ms Billett said.

Alys Longmate in her own words is an enthusiastic, passionate, infatuated, contaminated, obsessive, fanatical music lover! Her exciting musical news is that she is currently in the process of writing, recording & producing her debut album, alongside the intelligibly talented, mutant guitarist, Ben McGregor. Alys has played the length and breadth of Australia and is still only 16
7 to 8 Bon Fromage
Bond Themes, Charles Aznavour, Doris Day, maybe some Vegas-Country-Motown-Swing? Born very young, these four brothers began singing and playing as toddlers. The red wine and snappy suits soon followed and the boys declared 'Bon Fromage' to be this thing that it is. Get your cheesy dancing shoes on and give up something...anything for BON FROMAGE...
