Sunshine Coast libraries join national read-in
Sunshine Coast Libraries will join others from Broome to Hobart reading the picture book Pete the Sheep at the same time to more than 100,000 children across Australia.
The nationwide story session, known as National Simultaneous Storytime, takes place at most Coast libraries on Wednesday 27 May 2009 at 11am.
Pete the Sheep is written by the award-winning author, Jackie French, and the library storytelling sessions are designed to appeal to preschoolers.
Council's Manager of Learning Communities, Ross Duncan, will join in the fun by reading the story at Nambour Library.
Participating libraries are:
Beerwah Library -- Peachester Road, Beerwah
Caloundra Library -- Omrah Avenue, Caloundra
Coolum Library -- Park Street, Coolum Beach
