Australia's largest community tree planting event is coming up on Sunday 1 August and Council is calling on Sunshine Coast residents to join the campaign to plant a million new native trees and shrubs across Australia.
Council is supporting four tree planting events on the Coast
*    Mudjimba - Mudjimba Surf Life Saving Club, Mudjimba Beach Esplanade 9am - 11am
*    Tewantin - Heritage Park, 84 Griffith Av, Tewantin 8.30 - 11.30am
*    Coolum - Stumers Creek Bushland Conservation Reserve, Stumers Creek Road, Coolum Beach 9:30am - 11am
*    Caloundra -Tumbledown Bush Reserve, end of Lakeshore Drive Little Mountain 8:30am - 12pm.

National Tree Day is organised by Planet Ark and attracts more than 300,000 volunteers around the country each year. It is a simple and lasting way to make a positive contribution to the community.
