Council's Youth Activity Officer, Adam Lewczuk, said the big feature of this year's NYW celebrations is From Bollyweird with Love - an international film spectacular being screened at the Playhouse, Caloundra Cultural Centre on Friday April 15.

"If 'Bollywood' is the in thing, then 'Bollyweird' is a crazy, hilarious underground look at the films that make the Indian film industry great," Mr Lewczuk said.

"Indian films are always three hours long, but for this special screening we've combined eight of the weirdest titles into a two hour program that's shorter than a regular feature."

Trash Video's Andrew Leavold, who compiled and narrates the film spectacular, said viewers would be in for two hours of Hindi mayhem, Indian disco and more tacky musical numbers than Kamahl's had white robes.

Tickets can be pre-purchased for $10 or $18 including a curry buffet through the Caloundra Cultural Centre on 5491 4240. Buffet starts at 6.30pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
