Good news for all gardeners! Sunshine Coasters can grow local species in any kind of small space - courtyard, balcony, green wall, indoors. The Friends of Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens want to 'help locals grow locals' for more attractive, distinctive and sustainable gardens of all sizes.

Popular Gardening Australia presenter Jerry Coleby-Williams will talk on the topic of 'The 21st Century Cottage Garden' at Maroochy Bushland Botanic Gardens on Botanic Garden Day, Sunday 26 May. Jerry's talk (and a native tube) will be just one part of the Natives Naturally for Your Garden activities organised by the Friends of MRBBG and Sunshine Coast Council with the theme of 'Small is Beautiful'.

The morning will also feature free guided walks in the Gardens, plant sales by Coolum Community Nursery, free advice from Native Plants Sunshine Coast, refreshments by the Friends and Compass Garden Café as well as practical workshops. Book now for places in the talks and workshops at ... https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/natives-naturally-small-is-beautiful-tickets-58343814921 , or simply turn up for a morning of small and beautiful garden delights.
