Chris Postle is a much sought-after artist whose work graces the walls of homes across the globe.
“Enter the Dragon” and “Morning Wash” were finalists in the 2011 Mortimore Prize and have just finished a traveling exhibition from Sydney to Melbourne. “Seduction” won the Acrylic Section in the Gympie Gold Rush Art show 2011. The Sunshine Coast will have an opportunity to view these amazing works and many others at the Harbourside Gallery from the 9th of October until the 12th of November.
Chris Postle comes from a talented artistic family, his mother Norma sowing the early seeds of his path from painting as a hobby to a rewarding career as an artist which Chris describes as “an absolute dream job”. As his brother Greg, Chris’ attention to detail and the sharp representation of his subjects is undeniable. His mastering of the fine art techniques have taken many years, in which time he developed an understanding of all the ingredients to make a picture work, understanding light, shade and movement, a patience for life and our amazing environment and lots of time and patience.
Chris is currently venturing into different styles and subjects allowing his creative juices to flow into diversity. Water is one of his passionate themes and that is not a surprise as Chris is based on the Sunshine Coast.
