After an estrangement from her family, Nina Shah is forced to return to Glascow when her father dies. Here she becomes involved with the family's Indian restaurant, The New Taj, which is now half-owned by an attractive girl called Lisa. Together the two girls set about winning The Best of the West Curry Competition in honour of Nina's father.
Written by Andrea Gibb and directed by Pratibha Parmar, Nina's Heavenly Delights is a feel-good love story combining Scottish humour, lesbian themes, Bollywood musical glamour and fabulous Indian cuisine.
