On Sunday June 1 2008, the Lake Macdonald Catchment Care Group will host the Noosa Festival of Water at the Lake Macdonald Amphitheatre and the Noosa Botanical Gardens at Cooroy, to celebrate World Environment Day.
Lake Macdonald is an important water source for the Noosa area as well as a recreational feature for people with canoeing, fishing, bird watching, walking, bike riding and picnicking among the many activities available to users of the area.
Activities on the day include musical entertainment in the Amphitheatre, boat tours to the water treatment plant and fish hatchery, and displays by community and commercial organisations. There will be a range of interesting guest speakers. Refreshments and meals will be available on site.
The day begins at 10am and finishes at 3pm. Entry is free.
