You are not on your own
All home based businesswomen of the Noosa region will network once again at the j, on Thursday, 11th October 2007. All women are welcome to join in and share their experiences and discuss problems.
Running a business from home is not always an easy job, but thanks to the Noosa Home Based Business Women's Group, support is at hand.
Since the debut in early March this year, the group has provided supportive mentoring for businesswomen. Kay Strong, Small Business Field Officer of the Sunshine Coast ACC and Kim Cross, Events Co-ordinator at the j, facilitate this supporting mentoring group.
Every second Thursday of the month, diverse topics are discussed; whether it is in the area of marketing, e-commerce or intellectual property. At the forthcoming session, the j is pleased to advise that special guest speaker Paul Loeffler-White, Queensland Manager from IP Australia will be talking about IP, trademarks and patents.
The free 2 hour session will commence at 9 am in the downstairs foyer of the j. Attendees are advised to bring along their business cards and a pen and paper.
The Small Business Field Officer Initiative is funded under the Australian Government Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business Program.
