NPA Friday Forum Combined with NPA Bird Observers Group - Birds of South Western Australia

All are welcome to attend this combined NPA Bird Observers' Group - Friday Forum meeting at the Environment Centre, Wallace Park, on Friday, June 27th, commencing at 10.30 am with general birding reports and discussions, followed at 11.15 am, by Group Leader, Valda McLean's spectacular photographic journey on the trip to WA - from a Bird Observer's perspective.    You are welcome to bring lunch and stay on for social after meeting.

Why not join the interpretive birding session at 8.30 am stay for morning coffee at 10 am and spend the rest of the morning hearing about birds - or simply choose which parts suit you.  Bring friends too!

Hear about the Western Whipbird and Western Bristlebird, which are both close to extinction.  Learn how the rediscovery of the Noisy Scrub-bird - believed to be extinct, - at Two People's Bay near Albany, led to the creation of a nature reserve to protect that habitat.  Enjoy seeing these precious birds, and many more; hear about their ways and the environmental challenges they face.
