Greening Noosa 2005 Program

This year we will work at further consolidating our efforts on Noosa Spit, getting Noosa Parks Association Park into good physical shape.  In addition, we will assist local community groups by offering support for their projects.   Workdays are each second Sunday of the month between 9 am and 12 noon.  Please watch for announcements in the local newspapers.

February Sunday 13th
Noosa Spit NOOSA PARKS ASSOCIATION PARK (western section): weed control, pruning, and understorey planting

March Sunday 13th
Noosa Spit NOOSA PARKS ASSOCIATION PARK (play area): enhancing the area to encourage public use & enjoyment

April Sunday 10th
Noosa Spit NOOSA PARKS ASSOCIATION PARK (eastern section): weed control, pruning, plant maintenance and path maintenance

May Sunday 8th
Doonan "GEEBUNG PARK": reinforcement planting and weed control

June Sunday 12th
Noosa Spit NOOSA WOODS: controlling weed growth and replacement with trees, understorey and groundcovers

July Sunday 10th
Noosa Spit NOOSA PARKS ASSOCIATION PARK (eastern section): weed control and maintenance of path edges

August Sunday 14th
Sunshine Beach assisting the local bush care group, further details to be advised

September Sunday 11th
Noosa Spit NOOSA PARKS ASSOCIATION PARK (Eastern section) weed control, pruning and replacement planting

October Sunday 9th
Noosa Spit NOOSA INLET FORESHORE: weed control, pruning, and plant maintenance

November Sunday 13th
Noosa Spit NOOSA PARKS ASSOCIATION PARK (western section): maintenance & replacement planting. End of Year Get-to-gether!

. All workdays finish at midday with a barbecue and coffee/billy tea.

. Details are publicised in the local newspapers.  For exact locations look out for Greening Noosa SIGNS on the major roads in the planting vicinity placed out on the planting morning.  Please bring a spade, mattock, bucket if you can.  A hat, gardening gloves, sunscreen and protective footwear are recommended.

. Everyone is most welcome; even attending one session per year is helpful.
