As 2012 draws to a close and we start to focus on more Festive matters, sadly, the community cannot afford to relax just yet! With less than a month to go before the deadline for community input about planning matters across a diversity of topics and areas, you can’t afford to miss this event! Take this special opportunity to gain an insight into the many issues that are affected by both State and local government.
You will be able to hear from:
Your local Member for Noosa, Glen Elmes about his work within his current outback portfolio, his Parliamentary role and matters of importance to his local constituents including Helicopters and Teewah Landing Strip, SPOLA, LGA and de-amalgamation;
Division 11 – Cr Russell Green about the SCC (Draft) Planning Scheme forums and the importance of participation in this planning consultation process and details about remaining forums
Division 12 – Cr Tony Wellington about developments and issues facing the northern half of the former Noosa Shire as well as Environment Portfolio matters.
Each guest presenter will answer questions from the floor, but you are encouraged to pre-submit questions to firstname.lastname@example.org to increase chances of being included, given the limited time available.
In the spirit of Noosa camaraderie, forget all the serious issues facing the community for a few moments - you are invited to stay on afterwards and enjoy a glass of wine (or other beverage) and light refreshments provided by your committee.
Take a few minutes to meet fellow residents and ratepayers in an informal setting and talk to your committee members about matters that you would like to see NRRA take on in 2013 and any assistance that you may be able to give. Is there perhaps, a burning issue that you would like to take on as a Project Officer?
Do come along. Please RSVP to email@example.com
Attachments FYI include background information (Hansard extract) about the outcome of the SPOLA (Sustainable Planning and Other Legislation Amendments Bill 2012); upcoming SCC (Draft) Planning Scheme forums and a handout explaining how to make a meaningful submission re the helicopter and airstrip issue.
