Check out TAFE Queensland East Coast’s facilities and a great range of course options while having some free fun and entertainment at O Week, with events running from Mooloolaba to Bundaberg starting 19 January.
A broad range of activities showcasing TAFE courses from fitness demonstrations to plumbing will be running along with entertainment, live radio broadcasts, great food and giveaways.
The events are being held to allow the public to check out TAFE’s services, meet teachers and learn about what courses to enrol in before classes start later this month.
“TAFE is about much more than trades with 60% of our courses covering non-trades areas,” Paul Wilson general manager, TAFE Queensland East Coast said.
This year TAFE Queensland East Coast is expecting peak enrolment numbers in a range of courses for creative industries, business, hospitality, health and sport and community services.
“Students need to get enrolled fast and make the right choice for their career,” Mr Wilson said.
“Employers see TAFE Queensland East Coast as a number one choice with industry engagement and real work experiences a key part of how TAFE courses are delivered,” he added.
Enrolments are open for 2015 with more than 12,000 students across the east coast already enrolled. For more information on courses visit tafeeastcoast.edu.au.
