Funny play for Christmas

A very funny play about finding a home (any home, where everything works and the neighbours are nice!)

Want to have a good laugh this Christmas? Then this award-winning, delightfully light-hearted piece, is perfectly suited to the traditional "silly season"; and with the 4 Dinner Shows, it is an option for a very different Christmas Party.

Ever lived next door to compo-seeking yobbos using the baby bonus to buy early-model Commodores?

Or "happy" neighbours on one side who play nothing but Kylie at full blast all night; meanwhile, on the other side, Madam Lash is plying her trade?

Ever fallen in love with a picture-perfect heritage house, only to discover everything is ready to fall apart?

What would you do if your uber-modern, super water-conserving high-rise unit (with the Sydney Harbour views if you dislocate your neck) has a toilet which only flushes after 3 "visits"; especially after gorging on Indian curries?

All this and more happens to our hapless couple in their search for a place to call - Our Perfect Home.

When buying a home, can anyone be certain that what they decide upon is going to be the home of their dreams?  What happens when the home they thought was perfect is actually quite different?

For a young couple living and working in a modern bustling metropolis, where exactly is the best place to call home?  Is it the convenience of a contemporary city apartment; the quaintness of an aging inner city terrace; the affordability of a brand new housing estate home; or perhaps the peace and privacy of a rural retreat?  And this is before they even begin to consider what the neighbours might be like!

Mal and Steph face these dilemmas as they embark on a very funny journey of discovery towards their very own 'perfect home'.

For a young couple living and working in a modern bustling metropolis, where exactly is the best place to call home?  Is it the convenience of a contemporary inner city apartment; the quaintness of an aging inner-city terrace; the affordability of a brand new housing estate home on the outer verges of a major city; or perhaps the peace and privacy of a rural retreat?  And this is before they even begin to consider what the neighbours might be like!
