Back by popular demand, council will be hosting another free Park the Bark seminar presented by well-known animal behaviourist Dr Cam Day at the Kureelpa Hall on Thursday, April 19 at 6.30pm.

The first two Park the Bark seminars in Kawana and Landsborough booked out quickly so Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay encouraged dog owners to make sure they book their place.

“Our seminars in Kawana and Landsborough last year helped more than 400 residents to better understand and manage their dog’s barking behaviour,” Cr McKay said.

“We know barking dogs are an issue for many residents across the Coast so I would encourage any dog owners to come along to this free seminar and learn to understand why dogs bark and get some tips on how to reduce this unwanted behaviour.”

Dr Cam Day is an experienced veterinary behaviourist who provides an entertaining and informative night.

The Park the Bark presentation will include:

•A look at some barking dog cases

•Which dogs bark the most

•A key you can use to solve barking behaviour

•Solutions to “When I am home” barking

•Solutions to “When I am away” barking

•Question time

There are only 100 spots available, so secure your booking as early as possible.
