Together Leonie Shanahan of Edible School Gardens, and Fiona Ball and Carly Garner of The Natureweavers Place, will share their respective journeys, bringing health and wellbeing of the children of the Sunshine Coast. With many years of experience in working with earth and children, topics such as permaculture in schools, nutrition, earth craft, bush craft, and the hands on exploration of wild spaces in nature through story, science, and the play of children.
We invite you to come with us on a journey of discovery.....
Children learn by hands on growing their own food a practical and empowering skill that stays with them for life. In a world of high food prices and food shortages this skill becomes even more valuable. It also incorporates physical health and well being as you see the gardens growing. It’s amazing just how positively an hour outside working with nature can work for children such as behaviour management, Children feel good about themselves and discover they can succeed in the garden.
